Each year, several tracks dominate the sound systems here on Ibiza. Now we've reached the end of summer 2024, we have a clear picture of what those tracks were. But, still, at the end of the day, music is subjective and everybody's tastes are different...
Therefore, we put it to our clubbing team to pick their favourites, with a heavy emphasis on what has been played out on the dancefloor over the last five months.

Blackchild | So Good (Heat Mix) | Solid Grooves

Up there as one of the tracks that resonates with the summer of 2024, is So Good from Italian DJ/producer Blackchild. Versatile and energy-fuelled, this track has easily been one of the most played-out and popular this summer.
From Joseph Capriati's Metamorfosi, The Martinez Brothers and Solid Grooves, Blackchild's done the rounds on the island. Despite previous notable releases, So Good (Heat Mix) has really put him on the map. Let’s see what he’s got up his sleeve next. This is a big one to live up to.
Azari & III & Max Dean | Reckless | Positiva

Max Dean has been omnipresent on Ibiza this summer - and rightly so. Whether it's for his heated solo sets that push bass-driven underground House and Techno satiated with unreleased IDs, or his formidable back-to-backs with cousin Luke Dean, he's had a stand-out year.
With one ear always on the dancefloor, Max Dean's loaded update of Azari & III's 2011 hit Reckless has gone off this summer. From Paradise at Amnesia to Solid Grooves at DC10, we’re yet to find a crowd on Ibiza able to resist the track's inherent groove and iconic vocal chorus.
Carlita | Time | Counter Records

Carlita is fast becoming one of electronic music's most competent production forces. She scored a huge dancefloor hit in 2023 with the CircoLoco Records release Cash For Love. Eclipsing that would take some effort, but with Time she has created a masterpiece.
First heard right at the start of summer when Andrea Oliva played it at ANTS opening party and, criminally, not heard nearly enough since. There's duality in the gorgeous lyrics and though it works as an introspective piece of music, the way it progresses induces euphoria.
Lost Frequencies & Tom Odell | Black Friday (Pretty Like The Sun) | UROK

Famed for his haunting lyrics, songs by Tom Odell wouldn't normally be associated with dance tracks that make you want to skip onto the dancefloor. Thanks to Belgian DJ and record producer Felix De Laet, AKA Lost Frequencies, it's become just that.
"I wanna go party, I wanna have fun, I wanna be happy, could you show me how it's done?" Hearing this on nights out always feels like an invitation into a night of Ibiza misadventure. It's one that always stirs up some amazing memories of nights out, including Felix's dates at Pacha.
PAWSA | Too Cool To Be Careless | PAWZ

Whether you're a lover of his music or not, it’s got to be said that this track has lived rent free in everyone's heads all summer long.
Sampling Dennis Edwards' Don't Look Any Further from 1984, PAWSA's modern flip on this old classic really is a masterclass in how to produce a quality and highly successful House music anthem.
Released on his own label PAWZ in July, shortly after his other 2024 summer belter Pick Up The Phone, this undeniably catchy beat has been heard on just about every dancefloor on Ibiza this summer and will remain a track that will be played for years to come.

Jamie Jones feat Miluhska | La Musa | Helix Records

When he's not sending it on Amnesia’s Terraza every Wednesday for his Paradise residency, Jamie Jones is in the studio working on absolute bomb drops and this summer's main hitter is La Musa.
JJ bosses the grooving bassline and indelible melody on this sexy House number which sirens the dancefloor. Linking up with Miami songstress Miluhska, La Musa's swagger turns up another notch as she cuts between Spanish and English vocals for that extra pinch of spice.
Bonus points if you can name the San Antonio Bay hotel where the music video for La Musa was shot!
ANOTR feat Levan Kali | How You Feel | No Art

ANOTR can already lay claim to having a past anthem of summer for 2022's Relax My Eyes, which even had enough mileage to be pretty prevalent last summer too. Having such an accolade can often be a poison chalice, but not, seemingly, for ANOTR.
The boys from Amsterdam have gone and done it again, this time with How You Feel, which sticks to their streak of releases with original song-writing combining tight production and catchy chorus.
First heard at their early-season Pacha takeover, the ID eluded me until several weeks into the season. By that point, it was everywhere and everybody lapped it up. Of course, ANOTR ended summer with another sold-out show at 528 Ibiza.
In an age when a lot producers seem intent on stripping everything soulful out of their music at the expense of groove, groove, groove, ANOTR prove you can make widely popular music without the sacrifice - and consistently so.
Disclosure | She's Gone, Dance On | DisOrder Records

Despite only two early season dates this season on Ibiza (Defected at Ushuaïa, Circoloco at DC10), the Disclosure brothers have created what feels like the House track of the summer. Its light and breezy beginning soon breaks into vocals that feel like they hit a special spot.
It's a sing-along song with with a beat that you can help but dance along to.
The boys have certainly been busy this year, with dates including Tomorrowland in Tulum, Glastonbury and HARD AND STRANGER THAN in Los Angeles. We live in hope they make more time for their Ibiza fans in 2025.
You can catch ANOTR guest alongside Marco Carola at Music On closing party part two at Pacha on 11 October, while Jamie Jones goes back-to-back with Joseph Capriati during the extended sunrise set at Amnesia Closing Festival on 12 October.
