The return of Ibiza's dancefloors | Week two

Round-up from 14 to 18 October.

Wow! Ibiza's dancefloors exploded back into life this past week. What a tidal wave of energy released. It's all started with WNDRLND at Eden and after that the holy grail of Circoloco at DC10 on Monday, if you managed to endure the mammoth queue and get in, that is.

Week two is shaping up to be even bigger. Let's take a lot at what's happening from Thursday 14 to Monday 18 October.

Eden

Despite being the first club to open its dancefloor, Eden couldn't help itself and had to pull something else out of the bag. The venue has just announced the booking of House heavyweight Roger Sanchez for Thursday 14 October - what a coup.

The S-Man joins residents from the WNDRLND camp at The Late Show with tickets only €40.

Talking of WNDRLND, the Saturday night staple is back for a second spin on 16 October. This time Spanish selector David Penn is the headliner, in what's sure to be another night to be cherished.

The weekend isn't over yet. Eden still has one more card to play. That card being glam Merseyside nightclub Mansion taking over the venue for a one-off on Sunday 17 October. The Scousers sure know how to party and this is a nice way to round-off the weekend.

Octan

Underground playground Octan Ibiza is the third club on Ibiza to open and we're really excited for this one.

If you don't know what to expect from Octan by now, let us remind you: high-quality sound, assured programming and a clued-up crowd, set against a rugged industrial backdrop.

The party on Saturday 16 October plays to all those strengths with a line-up that includes Anna Tur, Los Dos, Milou and headed-up by John Acquaviva.

Plus at only €15 tickets in the pre-sale, it is an absolute bargain. What are you waiting for?

There's more goodies to come from Octan next week.

O Beach

Outdoors and in the sun, O Beach Ibiza has had a hell of a summer. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and O Beach wraps up its 2021 programme this weekend.

You have the option of two poolside sessions on Friday and Saturday, respectfully, before the glitzy closing party bash on Sunday 17 October. You can request the last remaining beds by clicking here.

Pikes

Pikes is still gung-ho despite us being in mid-October. Does the party ever really stop there?

Highlights this week include the open-minded Flash, which has its closing party on Friday 15 October. Then of course, Saturday sees Pikes House Party and Sunday is an all-day affair at poolside with The Brothers Grim. Reservations to be made via its website.

Cova Santa

Another venue which has adapted well and had a stellar summer, is Cova Santa. The Gastroclub and Mixology centre tucked away in the San Jose hills has been entertaining diners with a fantastic programme. Sadly, that is finishing in the next few days, but goes out in style.

Thursday 14 October is the final Jamie Jones & Friends, which will see him play back-to-back with Luciano. On Friday, Storytellers is back, and this time it goes all the way until 05:00, so that can only mean some inside dancefloor action after midnight with HOSH the big name!

Saturday is the final Electrica Santa with residents Caal and Mar-T, before the curtain comes down on Sunday 17 October for a special showcase with Agoria and Eagles & Butterflies.

Lío

Lío Ibiza, Pacha Group's cabaret and fine-dining venue in Ibiza Town, is opening as a club across the weekend this winter.

The confirmed parties for this week are Camilo Franco & Friends on Thursday 14, Ibiza Talents on Friday 15, featuring Proudly People, Andy Baxter and Clint Lee and Pandora with DJ Oliver and Java on Saturday 16. All nights open from 23:00.

More intimate parties

LiFT by Game Over goes again at NUI Ibiza on Friday and SWAG also has a weekend programme, including Xcandalous with DJ Memo and Sergio Vicedo this Friday. In the north, Los Suruba close their Nazca residency at Las Dalias, on Thursday with Animal Trainer.

In Playa d'en Bossa, Beachouse holds at extra farewell BOHO on Thursday 14 before it ends summer on massive high with an all day closing celebration starring Jan Blomqvist live on Sunday 17 October.

Circoloco at DC10

We couldn't sign-off without a little mention of DC10. If last week was anything to go by, then our advice can only be to get down super early and be prepared to queue for several hours.

Either that, or head over late once the queue has died down. But, remember, it closes at 05:00.

It's another strong line-up on Monday 18 October, with Apollonia, Gerd Janson, HAAi, Loco Dice, Sama' Abdulhadi, Seth Troxler, Tania Vulcano, The Martinez Brothers and TSHA.

Plenty going on to get stuck into from Thursday through to Monday, as you can see. Then we get a few days break before week three kicks into gear. That one will be special, we can tell you that much already.
