Volunteers needed for A Day For The Planet Ibiza

Tidying and cleaning our island on Sunday 30 May.

Uniting the power of art with environmental conservation, A Day For The Planet returns on Sunday 30 May. Are you on the island and able to lend a helping hand?

The day is a collaborative effort between many island stakeholders, including Plastic Free Ibiza, The Zoo Project, iBi Foundation, Ibiza & Formentera Preservation and Walking Ibiza.

Current restrictions mean that volunteers cannot meet en masse this year. Instead, you are encouraged to bring your own gloves and rubbish disposal and work solo, in pairs or within your household group.

No matter if it's a stretch of beach, the street or an area of woodland, your efforts to tidy up Ibiza will be welcomed by residents and wildlife alike.

After you're done, please bring your collection of rubbish to one of the central points for it to be logged, sorted and disposed of correctly. Designated points can be found at Playa d'en Bossa, Talamanca, Figueretas, Port d'es Torrent and Cala San Vincente.

Everything collected will be compiled into a digital magazine.

The Vision will serve as a reminder of our collective responsibility to care for the planet. It will include short stories, poems and pieces of art from many of the island's creatives.
