Mambo Brothers pick their favourite things to do on Ibiza

Alan and Christian Anadon know the island inside-out - here are their tips.

For Alan and Christian Anadon, the sons of Mambo Group business tycoon Javier, becoming international touring DJs was always likely. The brothers grew up surrounded by music and DJ culture. Today, you might better know them as the Mambo Brothers.

Even if you've never seen them play, you'll likely recognise them as familiar faces meeting and greeting holidaymakers outside their family-owned establishment, Café Mambo.

Like every year, you can catch Mambo Brothers playing throughout the summer on Friday nights at Eden for Defected. Most recent was their set on 26 May, when they joined Riva Starr, Low Steppa and Monki in the booth.

Few DJs can claim to know the island better, so we had to ask Alan and Christian for their insider tips on where to go and what to do. These are their favourite things to do on Ibiza.

Island Activity

Go and visit the alpacas! Es Currals Alpacas Ibiza is the very first alpaca farm in Ibiza and is located in the rural north of the island, on an authentic finca in a beautiful natural setting. You can not only visit and cuddle the alpacas but you can also enjoy Alpaca Yoga sessions.

We also love hiking and discovering the island. There are so many hidden spots. One of our favourite routes to go hiking on the West Coast is Cala D'Aubarca.

Cala Gracioneta | Cala Gracioneta

Afternoon beach

Ibiza is well known for its slow mornings. One of our places to spend the day is Cala Gracioneta, a charming beach nestled among tall pine trees and crystal clear waters, in a quiet spot on the San Antonio coast.

You can also enjoy the food and drinks at restaurant Cala Gracioneta. The cava sangria, the most incredible fresh salads and the guacamole potatoes with pico de gallo sauce are some of our favourites.

Hostal La Torre | Cap Negret

Sunset dinner

Hostal La Torre is probably one of the most blissful sunset spots on the island that opens year round. La Torre is one of those spots that proves the Ibiza of yesteryear still exists. You can't go wrong here, whether you choose tapas to share or more elaborate dishes.

We recommend the Iberian ham croquettes and the burrata salad with locally grown tomatoes.

Morning coffee and lunch

For the perfect morning coffee, we suggest Meke Coffee Roasters, located beside the Town Hall at the top of Ramblas -aka Paseo S'Alamera - in Santa Eulalia. It's always nice to have a real coffee after all the partying and you'll definitely find the island's best coffee roasters here.

Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa

Moving into lunchtime, we would recommend swimming pool lovers to check out Las Mimosas.
Its restaurant Mimo's offers Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, with a wood-fired oven, where
Neapolitan pizzas, meat and fish dishes are prepared.

There is also a day pass that allows you to spend the day there enjoying the facilities.

Elsewhere, there are lots of places in the Santa Agnes countryside where you can find the best Spanish omelettes on the island.

Café Mambo

Partying

Every great night starts at Café Mambo.

Returning each summer for unforgettable electronic music sessions and countless moments of celebration and fun, this temple is located right on San Antonio's famous Sunset Strip. No experience of Café Mambo is complete without drinking a few of its special Strawberry Daiquiris and, of course, its very own Ibiza Mambo Hierbas.

Ibiza's clubs are world class and it's hard to pick just one.

You can usually find us on a Friday night at Eden with Defected, on Saturdays at Pacha with Claptone and on Wednesdays at Hï Ibiza with FISHER. We love a good party, so we are quite lucky on the island to have the world's best nights in the world's best clubs!

This year, Eric Prydz presenting HOLO at Hï Ibiza is a must.

Mambo Brothers still have one more date at Defected to come later this summer on Friday 15 September.
