Rooftop 9 at INNSiDE by Melia Ibiza is a towering oasis with unconquerable views of the stunning San Antonio Bay and lush green hills surrounding it. Its prime location along the Bay road that sweeps the Cala de Bou coastline, means the stunning terrace is the place to be for both sun worshipping and sunset gazing.
Luckily we indulged in both, as we enjoyed a late afternoon schmooze atop this sky-high hotel.
After a long day at the office, both Lissy and I could not be happier to change our laptop screens for literal scenes. Flopping upon the plump daybed with an ice cold smoothie in hand, the toils of the day suddenly seemed to evaporate away. People watching became our job for the afternoon, as nearby holidaymakers sampled the cocktail menu, working their way from top to bottom.
Whilst we didn't partake in alcohol ourselves (this was much needed detox), the Aperol Spritz looked incredibly inviting.
The vibe was discernibly cool. With a backdrop of foot tapping, head bopping House tracks and a DJ who clearly loved his job, there was a sense of that free holiday spirit in the air.
Feeling slightly overbaked, we headed to the roof's stylish infinity pool to dip our feet and cool off. It seems it doesn't matter where you choose to plonk yourself - daybed, pool or slouching on a bean bag - with clear glass being the only barrier between you and the world around, the vista is breathtaking throughout. You could say, you're on cloud number nine...
As the night began to slowly creep in we made our exit, not only refreshed, but with a new Shazam-ed playlist to work our way through.
